Announcements
To celebrate the bicentenary of Louis Braille's birth - January 4 1809 - Golden Chord participated in a concert held at St Mary's church Penzance, on 16 October. Roger Firman gave a talk about the Life of Louis Braille and played some organ music by François Couperin and J.S. Bach. Just over £300 was raised from the evening's event, the money will be used by Action Water at Liberty School in Nairobi. As the school’s well has become rather shallow - inasmuch as the water table has dropped - the £300 will be used to employ a few local people to dig it out a bit. While the water from it is not good to drink, it is very suitable for irrigating the crops in the school’s shamba (garden). Food is just as important for these children, most of whom are orphans - their parents having died from AIDs. |
Golden Chord is looking to produce a range of orchestral scores. If you have a particular requiirement, please do get in touch. Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique will be the first item in this transcription project. |
Golden Chord can transcribe original braille music compositions to stave notation |
